June 28. Japan Times plastered Mike Hondas thumbs up photo all over its front page and jubilantly wrote that U.S. panel OKs sex slave resolution
It is easy to understand Mike Honda.
He has so many irons in the fire.Looking at his webpage http://honda.house.gov/ there is no end to all the noble couses. Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education, Commerce, Justice, and Science,Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus Access to affordable healthcare; worker training; port and border security; adequate law enforcement to keep our streets and neighborhoods safe; health care for our veterans; recovery from natural disasters, particularly Hurricane Katrina, and education, particularly fully funding No Child Left Behind and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Innovation Agenda: A Commitment to Competitiveness to Keep America #1.
If that is not enough for you he is also into Ethiopia, Philippine Veterans, National Hepatitis B Awareness Week, veterans of Asian and Pacific Islander descent who fought in the United States Civil War, immigration relief, National Science Foundation, and...... of course
Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that the Government of Japan should formally acknowledge, apologize, and accept historical responsibility in a clear and unequivocal manner for its Imperial Armed Force's coercion of young women into sexual slavery, known to the world as "comfort women", during its colonial and wartime occupation of Asia and the Pacific Islands from the 1930s through the duration of World War II.
Honda-san is indeed a brave man.He is taking on the whole Imperial Armed Forces and he is a wizzard who with the help of a few Asian American female activists and Korean catholic nuns can retroactively change well paid prostitutes into sex-slaves. He is prepared to spit on the memory of dead soldiers and ready to pick fights with anybody who....... is dead and defenseless. Classic risk-free, populist vote-gathering, mass media focused, two-dimensional, infantile voter attention instigation. Well maybe nothing to be proud of but as Honda san will confirm: a vote from an chinese-american analphabet or a Philippino dishwasher is as good as any. Honda san deserves a new title "YY", but he must remember that manipulating the past for the sake of current gains is different from manipulating tomorrow. Nevertheless we congratulate YY on his achievements in U.S.A where 30% of the high-school students, according to statistics, think that the 2'nd WW was between Mexico and USA.
